About Us

H.I.T.S. (Hitting Instructional Training Services) was founded by Ken Bergmeier (Dedication page)  in January 2002. Ken had been giving baseball and softball lessons for the previous 9 years and the company was recognized as Ken Bergmeier's place. In October 2002 Ken passed away and his youngest son Chaun Bergmeier took over the business.

This is Chaun Bergmeier.  He is our fearless leader and owner of H.I.T.S.  He has been giving baseball and softball lessons for the past 7 years and presently is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.  He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in December of 2002 with a major in Marketing and a minor in Religion.  In August 2001, Chaun tried out for the Atlanta Braves and as you can see he didn't make it. Chaun has coached the Cedar Valley Saints (5th & 6th grade) and (7th & 8th grade); and the Cedar Valley Sidewinders (7th & 8th grade) in the Iowa Baseball League. Chaun is currently enrolled at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is taking MDiv courses online. He is heading to the main campus in Louisville, KY in August 2008.
